Binibèquer is located on the south east coast of Minorca about five miles from Mahon, the capital of Menorca. The resort stretches along the coastline from Binibèquer Vell to Cala Torret, encompassing a number of small sheltered coves that are suitable for swimming and snorkelling. The main beach at Cala de Binibèquer is the most popular beach for families with young children with its fine white sand and calm, shallow waters . Pedaloes and sunbeds are available for hire here. A relatively quiet and unspoilt spot, Binibèquer contains few large hotels. Most of the accommodation around Binibequer includes self catering apartments or privately owned holiday homes. The town of Binibèquer Vell was architecturally designed in the 1970s to resemble a traditional Minorcan village, with picturesque narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and small shops, cafes and bars. Known for being one of the quietest resorts on Minorca, Binibèquer is definitely not the place for travellers looking for a lively holiday with lots of nightlife.
