About Cala Alcaufar
Cala Alcaufar is a tranquil hideaway, on the southern coast of Minorca, about six miles from the capital, Mahon. A picturesque fishing village, it lies around a narrow sheltered inlet with a small sandy beach which is very safe for swimming and snorkelling. Other than these activities, there is not much else to do in this resort other than ramble along some of the scenic walks in the area, including a walk out to an old Martello type tower on a headland. Car hire is recommended for further sightseeing, shopping or nightlife.

Self-catering is the main type of accommodation in Cala Alcaufar, as there is only one hotel in the resort. There is also only one restaurant, one bar and one shop in the village.

A perfect place for leaving behind the trials and stresses of everyday living.
