Punta Prima has a large, lovely white sandy beach, although care must be taken while swimming due to strong offshore currents and hidden rocks. A system of warning flags is in operation. Water sports are well facilitated in this resort.

While one of the first resorts on the island, Punta Prima is a relatively quiet resort and is ideal for families or older visitors. It is also an excellent spot for windsurfing.
